Those who are using a new virtual machine or a new operating systems are required to install Net Framework and Window Installer 4.5 as it is required by Security Compliance Manager. For those who update their computer frequently, would have Net Framework and Window Installer inside their PC. Any user who want to view "Security Templates" are needed to install Security Compliance Manager, please check the requirements before installing. If you failed to pass the requirement, you wont be allowed to install the "Security Compliance Manager".

Firstly, i took quite awhile to understand how to use this software. The software "Security Compliance Manager" is very strict in their requirements, it would check the things it need before it began it's instillation.

In this practical, i am going to make use of security compliance manager to view security templates in MMC console. Security template is used to restore default security settings or to compare current settings to the default setting. Go to "run" type MMC, and a new console will appear. By viewing the contents, you will need to Add/Remove Snap-in. I tried out security templates, new folder and security configuration and analysis.

Security Templates, is used to view the current OS security templates as i am using Window Server 2003, it prompt me with "Restricted Group", "System Services", "Event Log" and "File System".
