Download Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer .

Depending on your operating system bit, you are required to download the appropriate one. There is different kind of language type too, download "EN" for English version. As for me, i am using Window Server 2003 32bit, so i downloaded the "MBSASetup-x86EN.msi"

When setting up a new configuration baseline it is important to know the security configuration and the version of the system. That's when the Analyzer comes in place, it checks for faulty or old version of your baseline. In theoric base, its always best to update any security vulnerabilites in your operating system, one of the usefull tool is windows automatic updates. Sometimes update may not appear in windows automatic updates, thats when this Analyzer comes in place, after finding out the problem with the analyzer, go to the microsoft website to look for the latest update listed in the analyzer.
