In this Cognitive Biometrics demo, we are going to learn how it works by using display picture of faces. Congnitive Biometrics is realted to the perception, thought prcoess, and understanding of the user. It typically test the user memory of the things they did before and even pictures of their fellow friends. It is consider easier for the user to remember base on their life time experience, attacker will have difficult trying to imitate it.
There are 2 types of Cognitive Biometrics:1st is base on life experience that user remembers, like "memorable events". In this title, it will ask many different questions like "how old the person is" and "who attend the event"
2nd is base on specific faces. User will be provided a random set of photographs of different kind of faces also called as "familiarization process", user will need to select the correct one. In this passfaces website we will be going through a demo of how the 2nd method works
How passfaces works:
Keep clicking NEXT till 3 faces are presented.
There will then ask who they may look like or who may they remind you?, click NEXT
It will then give you an example of 9faces with 1 moving as a hint. Practice then click NEXT
At Step 3, it wont give any hint and you could try out how the passphrases works.
Bottom: Shows the selection of 3 correct faces to pass the authentication.
